About Me
Dr. Brown is a licensed occupational therapist who actively practices in inpatient mental health and telehealth settings. Her areas of expertise include psychosocial aspects of occupational function, neurodiversity affirming care principles, and promotion of occupational justice across healthcare settings. Dr. Brown has experience mentoring fieldwork students, working with neurodivergent students and clients, and improving accessibility of both occupational therapy services and occupational therapy education. In her research, Dr. Brown has presented nationally and internationally on topics of intergenerational collaboration in clinical and academic settings, crisis navigation, patient empowerment, and equitable access to healthcare services. Dr. Brown has a passion for diversifying occupational therapy education through accessible hands-on experiences, culturally relevant, practical skill development, and inclusive job readiness and exam preparation training.
